A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Gonzo, the photographer behind Gonzo.Photographz, and a proud Christian who strives to honor God in all I do. My journey into photography started with my mother’s Canon 2TI, a camera she generously shared with me to explore my creativity. Her constant encouragement and support over the years have nurtured my passion for photography, helping me develop both my skills and my love for capturing life's beauty. To this day, she remains my biggest inspiration, and her influence is at the heart of every shot I take.

While my father didn’t guide me artistically, he’s been an essential role model in my life, teaching me resilience, integrity, and the values that shape who I am today. His wisdom and strength have made me the person I strive to be—both in my work and my personal life.

I also owe a special thanks to my brother and sister, who have been my number-one models throughout my journey. From impromptu photoshoots to helping me test new creative ideas, they’ve always been there when I needed them most. Their enthusiasm and patience have supported me through countless projects, proving that family is truly at the core of everything I do.

Photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about storytelling, connection, and faith. From my first shots with the Canon to the stunning images I now capture with my Sony A7III, every step of my journey has been guided by the love of my family and my devotion to God. At Gonzo.Photographz, my goal is to create photographs that evoke emotion, tell your story, and create memories you’ll treasure forever.

In the early stages of my photography journey, I experimented with a camera by focusing on nature photography. This period was all about capturing the beauty of the natural world while honing my understanding of lighting and colors. It was a time of exploration and learning, where I discovered how these elements could transform a simple scene into something breathtaking. This foundational experience shaped my artistic vision and deepened my love for photography.
During this time, I began experimenting with storytelling through photography, using my siblings as willing and creative models. It was a period of exploration where I brought narratives to life through the lens. While balancing my final years of high school and preparing to join the Air Force, I also started taking on small shoots, such as graduation photos for classmates. These experiences not only honed my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of how photography can convey emotion and tell a story. It was a pivotal chapter in shaping my passion for capturing meaningful moments.
February 2019 - Present
Since 2019, my photography journey has been a blend of growth and exploration. While balancing my commitments in the Air Force, I began taking on smaller shoots, honing my skills and expanding my creative vision. Moving to England in 2020 opened new doors, allowing me to dive deeper into the world of professional photography, capturing moments at events, collaborating with Burberry models, and shooting dynamic scenes in London. As I look forward to transitioning out of the Air Force in May 2026, I’m excited to fully dedicate myself to photography and turn my passion into a lifelong career.
